Birch Burl Veneer

Origin:
Large parts of Europe (especially Finland, Sweden and the border regions of Russia)

Color and Characteristics:
Light-colored, whitish basic coloring. The veneer texture of the valuable birch grain does not come purely from the grain growth, but rather from many spots of dark ingrown bark. They give the light, whitish basic coloring of the birch a muted and flame-like appearance; a very decorative pattern.

Application:
Birch burl is preferably used in decorative interior finishing, but can also be mixed with other kinds of wood or materials. Also popular for living-room or bedroom furniture, and as a tasteful burl veneer for the automotive industry. Light and yet conspicuous, eye-catching without being obtrusive, birch burl conveys an impression of exclusiveness and charm.
