Northeast of China and east of Russia

Color and Characteristics:
The sapwood of pine is usually light yellowish-white to yellowish-tan, while the heartwood is light orange-yellow to red or yellowish-brown in color. The wood has a closed grain varying in figuring amongst the species. The grain is usually straight, sometimes irregular, and the texture is commonly medium.

Application:
This is a very decorative veneer, both in terms of color and grain, and is largely used for furniture, door, flooring and other interior finishing.
